My favorite thing about living in AZ is all the outdoor activities and festivals that go on. My least favorite thing is the traffic.
2. If you had to choose one favorite destination wedding location which would it be?
New Zealand, I just love the island life and looking at mountains or Martha's Vineyard!
3. What music are you embarrassed that he wants listen to?
When I was about 12 every anytime we got in the car with my dad he be playing cassettes tapes of Anthony Robbins motivational speaking and I used to roll my eyes when I would hear the intro music.
4. Describe your editing process?
After I load the images into my computer I immediately back them up to my external drive and my cloud. Then I go through and call all the unusable images and flag all of my favorites that potentially be portfolio worthy. Then I go through and make sure the correct the white balance and exposure. I do full skin retouching and enhancements (black-and-white, HD, contrast) to my favorite images. My goal is to make the images look as natural as possible.
5. If your life were turned into a movie who would you want to directed?
Clint Eastwood or Ron Howard.
6. If you weren't A photographer what you would be doing instead?
Business marketing for creative entrepreneurs or a floweriest.
7. What one photo-related thing you hope to improve on?
Flat lays. It always seems like I don't have enough time to play with them.
8. What's one piece of advice do you give a photographer just getting started?
Always push yourself to be better. You're the only person that can hold yourself back.
9. What's one of your goals for 2019?
Become a preferred vendor at three new wedding venue locations.
10. Who has been an invaluable mentor to you and why?
My grandmother Mary Dean. She got me started in photography in 1998, and whenever I run into life challenges she always gives me advice.
